Report on Reading Day Celebration 2025

I. Introduction
The Department of Hindi at Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, successfully observed Reading Day on May 19, 2025. The event was organized to celebrate the importance of reading and intellectual engagement, aimed at fostering a culture of readership among students and faculty while commemorating the values of lifelong learning.
II. Program Proceedings
The celebration commenced with a formal function chaired by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Raakkhee A.S., who emphasized the critical role of books in personal and academic development.
  • Welcome Address: Dr. Sreechithra V.S., Head of the Department of Hindi, delivered the official welcome, setting an inspiring tone for the day's activities.
  • Felicitation: Distinguished guests, including IQAC Coordinator Dr. Kiran MohanDr. Ajithra R.S., and Ms. Saranya Raveendran, addressed the gathering. Their messages reinforced the theme of the day and acknowledged the efforts of the organizing committee.
  • Vote of Thanks: The formal session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Lilin Bhaskar (Head of the Department, Malayalam), who expressed gratitude to the Principal, guests, and participants for making the event a resounding success.
III. Competitions and Participants
To encourage active engagement, two major competitions were held: an Elocution Competition and a Reading Competition. The quality of the presentations from all participants was exceptionally high.
