Reading Week 2025


Reading Week is observed in honor of P. N. Panicker, the Father of the Library Movement in Kerala, to emphasize the importance of reading and to cultivate a reading culture among students. As part of Reading Week 2025, the General Library of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy organized competitions to engage students in meaningful literary and creative activities on 19th – 20th June 2025.

Competitions Conducted

1. Character Review Competition

Date: 19th June 2025
Students were invited to write a review of their favorite character from any literary work in either English or Malayalam. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, showcasing the students' critical thinking and literary appreciation.

  • 🥇 Nila Prasanth, S4 History – 1st Prize

  • 🥈 Adarsh S., S4 History – 2nd Prize

Winner – English Category:

  • 🥇 Anakha Karnnan, S3 Sociology – 1st Prize

2. Poster Designing Competition

Date: 20th June 2025
This competition encouraged students to express their thoughts on reading and literature through visual art. The entries were creative, thought-provoking, and well-presented.

Conclusion
Reading Week 2025 successfully celebrated the spirit of reading and creativity among students. The General Library thanks all participants for their active involvement and congratulates the winners for their outstanding contributions. Events like these continue to uphold the vision of P. N. SPECTRUM SEMINAR SERIES 2024-25 - DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

 The PG Department of Chemistry at Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, successfully organized a seminar on the topic "Advanced Analytical Solutions for Scientific Management of Emerging Environmental Contaminants" as part of the Spectrum Seminar Series 2024-25 on 08 January 2025.
