- SANTÉ MENTALE – Mental Health Awareness Month (October 2025)
As part of World Mental Health Month, the Department of Psychology conducted a two-day mental health awareness fest titled “Santé Mentale”. The programme emphasized the theme of holistic well-being, creativity, and mental health advocacy.
Activities (10:30 AM onwards):
- Psych-Adelic (Expo & Games):
A fun and educational psychology exhibition that included interactive games and demonstrations highlighting major psychological principles.
- Irul Arai (Dark Room):
A reflective activity designed to help participants explore sensory experiences and self-awareness through guided darkness therapy.
- Mind Scapes (Origami Therapy):
A hands-on session integrating art and mindfulness, where participants used origami as a relaxation and focus-enhancing exercise.
- Face Fiesta (Face Painting):
A creative event encouraging self-expression through colors and symbols representing mental states and emotions.
- Healing Garden (Eco Therapy):
An experiential programme promoting the therapeutic value of connecting with nature and mindfulness practices.
Psych Show (1:30 PM):
- The Poppins Show: A lively and engaging performance highlighting imagination, joy, and resilience in coping with stress.
- Echoes of Us: A thought-provoking presentation on empathy, understanding, and collective healing.
- Cultural conclusion themed “Sing, Dance, Celebrate”: Emphasizing positive emotions and community bonding.
The "Santé Mentale" event provided a platform for students to express themselves creatively while raising awareness about the importance of mental health care.
