EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL INTEGRATION DAY) CELEBRATIONS, 2025
UNITY RUN
The 3(K) Battalion NCC, Poojappura, Army Wing of S.N. College, Chempazhanthy organized a Unity Run on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on October 31st at 8:00 AM. The event was conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to promote the message of national unity and integrity among the youth.
The event was inaugurated by the Principal of S.N. College, Chempazhanthy, Prof (Dr) Raakhee A S, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of unity in preserving the nation’s strength and diversity. Following the inauguration, the ANO, Lt. Dr. Giftson A W, along with all NCC cadets, enthusiastically participated in the Unity Run.
The run commenced from S.N. College, Chempazhanthy and concluded at Sreekariyam, covering a considerable distance with cadets chanting slogans promoting national integration. The participants displayed great zeal, discipline, and team spirit throughout the event.
The Unity Run successfully reflected the core values of the NCC — unity, discipline, and patriotism — and served as a reminder of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of a united India. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the Principal, ANO, and all the cadets for making the event a grand success.
UNITY DAY SEMINAR
The 3(K) Battalion NCC, Poojappura, Army Wing of S.N. College, Chempazhanthy organized a Unity Day Seminar on October 31st, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the college seminar hall as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Raakhee A. S., Principal, S.N. College, Chempazhanthy, and coordinated by Lt. Dr. Giftson A. W., ANO. The Principal highlighted the importance of unity and the remarkable contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in integrating India. The welcome address was delivered by Under Officer Navami S. S., who warmly greeted the dignitaries, faculty, and cadets.
The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Rishy N, Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of History, S.N. College, Chempazhanthy. He delivered an engaging and thought-provoking session on the life, vision, and leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing his pivotal role in building a united India. The seminar provided valuable insights into the historical and contemporary relevance of national unity.
The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of all NCC cadets and students of our college. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sergeant Krishna D. S., who expressed gratitude to the Principal, resource person, faculty, and cadets for their active participation and support.
The Unity Day Seminar successfully instilled in the participants a renewed sense of patriotism and reinforced the message of unity, harmony, and collective responsibility towards the nation.
