CLEANLINESS DRIVE 2025



The 3(K) BN NCC unit of S.N. College, Chempazhanthy, under the guidance of the ANO Lt. Dr. Giftson A W, conducted a Cleanliness Drive on October 18th, 2025, as part of the Central Government’s “Go Green, Breathe Clean” initiative. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable waste management practices within the campus. 
The programme commenced at 2:00 PM with an opening address by the Principal Prof (Dr) Raakhee A S, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment. Following this, the ANO briefed the cadets about the objectives of the drive and outlined the areas to be cleaned. 
All NCC cadets actively participated in the event, demonstrating great enthusiasm and team spirit. The cleanliness activities covered various parts of the college campus, including classrooms, corridors, and garden areas. Cadets collected litter and waste materials, which were carefully segregated into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories. This segregation aimed to instill awareness about effective waste disposal and recycling practices. 
The collected waste was later handed over to the respective waste management authorities for proper disposal. Through this initiative, cadets reinforced the message that small actions can make a big impact in preserving our environment for future generations. 
The drive concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by one of the cadets, expressing gratitude to the Principal, ANO, and all participants for their active involvement and support. The programme served as a reminder of the shared responsibility we all have toward building a cleaner and greener nation.

 The PG Department of Chemistry at Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, successfully organized a seminar on the topic "Advanced Analytical Solutions for Scientific Management of Emerging Environmental Contaminants" as part of the Spectrum Seminar Series 2024-25 on 08 January 2025.
