MEET THE ENTREPRENEUR

 The Entrepreneurship Development Club of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, successfully organized the event "Meet the Entrepreneur" on January 22, 2025. The event aimed to inspire students by providing them with insights into the entrepreneurial journey of a successful business leader. The chief guest for the event was Ms. Anie Joshy, an accomplished entrepreneur known for her innovative business strategies and leadership. The session provided an opportunity for students to interact with an industry expert and gain valuable knowledge about the challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship.

The event commenced at 10:00 AM at the Seminar Hall of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy.

The event began with a prayer led by the students, setting a solemn and inspiring tone for the session. Dr. Nishad A, Convener of the Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club, delivered the welcome address. He emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship in today's competitive world and highlighted the role of institutions in nurturing future entrepreneurs. Prof. Dr. Raakhee A. S, Principal of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, delivered the introductory speech. She elaborated on the college's efforts in fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among students and encouraged them to seize opportunities for innovation and business growth.

Anie Joshy is a young entrepreneur from Thiruvananthapuram who founded 'Gluay,' a brand of internationally inspired banana snacks made from Kerala's Nendran bananas. Starting her journey at 21, she refined her concept during the pandemic and officially launched her brand under AGEO Global Foods in 2023. Gluay offers a variety of unique flavors and is positioned to revolutionize the global banana chip market. Currently bootstrapped, Anie aims to scale operations and establish Gluay as a culturally rich snack brand worldwide. Her mission is to highlight India's agricultural heritage while promoting sustainable and innovative snacking solutions. The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Ms. Anie Joshy. She shared her inspiring journey, detailing the challenges she faced and the strategies she employed to overcome them. She discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business planning, financial management, risk-taking, and perseverance. Her interactive approach and real-life examples captivated the audience, making the session both informative and engaging.

To honor the distinguished guests and contributors, a felicitation ceremony was held. The following faculty members extended their appreciation to the keynote speaker:  Dr. Ambili Raj (IQAC Coordinator)  Dr. Soju S (Head of the Department, Commerce)  Dr. Preethi (Assistant Professor, Zoology)  Dr. Sujith Prabhakar (PTA Secretary)  Mr. Vimalan N (Director of Industries T&C, Retd.) Each faculty member and the industry expert expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the importance of such initiatives in shaping students' career paths. 

Dr. Lakshmi A. J, Assistant Professor of Commerce, delivered the vote of thanks, extending gratitude to the esteemed guests, faculty members, organizing committee, and students for making the event a grand success. She also appreciated the efforts of the Entrepreneurship Development Club in organizing the session. 

The event proved to be a significant learning experience for students, as it provided them with first-hand insights into the entrepreneurial world. The interactive session with Ms. Anie Joshy encouraged students to explore their entrepreneurial aspirations and motivated them to think beyond conventional career paths. Many students actively participated in the discussion, asking thought-provoking questions about business strategies, funding options, and overcoming obstacles in the entrepreneurial journey.

"Meet the Entrepreneur" was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on students and faculty members alike. The Entrepreneurship Development Club of Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy, once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The event underscored the importance of mentorship, perseverance, and strategic planning in achieving success in the entrepreneurial world. Future initiatives of this nature will continue to inspire and equip students with the necessary skills to embark on their entrepreneurial ventures.
