Santé Mentale – Mental Health Awareness Week
The Department of Psychology, S.N. College, Chempazhanthy , organized Santé Mentale – Mental Health Awareness Week from October 8 to 10, 2024 . The three-day event included a variety of interactive and creative sessions to promote awareness about mental health. Key attractions were the Mind Bloom Lab Exhibition , Irularai Self-Awareness Expo , and Psycho Bites Food Fest . Students also actively participated in engaging activities such as Psy Quest (games and scavenger hunt), Breaking Barrier (mime, flash mob, and music), and the Mano Drishyam Film Fest , which creatively explored mental health themes. The highlight of the programme was a seminar on “It’s Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace” , delivered by Dr. P. T. Kurian , retired Professor and former Head of the Department of Psychology. His talk focused on the importance of workplace mental health and practical strategies for stress management.
